New c7000v2 router does not play well with iTunes

I use iTunes to sream music to 2 Sonos speakers and an airport express connecred to my stereo system. This has laways worked great with my Airport Extreme router. I bought the C7000 modem router and set it up and everuything is fine EXCEPT iTunes. iTunes can no longer connect to my aieport express although the AE shows up as an option in iTunes. The AE and airplay are working as I can stream content from other apps to the AE via airplay. So the probelm is only iTunes. If I switch back to my old router everything is fine again. So there must be a setting in the new router that is preventing iTunes from connecting to the airport express. Any ideas?

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Cable Modem products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Cable modems and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

No, I have been in contact with Netgear support, waiting to hear back from them. He suggested a different 5ghz channel, which didn't help. I then went ahead and tried every 5ghz channel and had the same problem on all of them.

Usually all 3 speakers will begin to play nicely. After about 5 minutes, almost every time, one of the Sonos speakers will quit playing. The airport express system will sometimes also quit at the same time, other times it will go on for a while eventually quitting.

When I hook up my old Aiepoer extrene to the c7000 and turn the c7000 wifi off everything works perfectly. So there is something about the c7000 router. Very frustrating.

Sonos have there own broadcast I believe don't they? Can you connect these devices via ethernet if they have a LAN port by chance?
