New Cable /DSL Router

I am trying to find a replacement for my NETGEAR cable/DSL router, RP614 v4, that just quit working after about 10 years of use.  I am not after a wireless one and my modem is less than 2 weeks old so I do not want a router/modem combo unit.  I can find new RP614s to purchase but it seems to me there should be cable routers with higher data transfer rates than that of the RP614.  The WNDR3400 N600 dual band Wi-Fi router is the closest I can find to the RP614 but it's wireless.  Will it work with my current setup?
