Hi, there are a lot of WiFi networks nearby.
I only use my 5GHz signal and the names for my internet signals are the same but with 2.4 and 5 at the end so I know which signal is which. I set the 5GHz channel to I think it was 100 and didn't improve my performance.
I have this problem on all devices that's on wifi but wired connection does work perfectly fine.
I am using this card in my computer TP-Link AC1300.
I don't think I'm using beam forwarding either

What neighbors are using channels on 5Ghz?
Try setting 5Ghz channel to 36 thru 48 or 149 thru 165 and see. Find channels that your neighbors are not using in those channel ranges.
Is Beamforming a feature on this model? If it is, enable it.
Ensure the TP-Link adapter drivers are up to date as well.
If the laptop works and the PC with this adapter doesn't, possible issue is with this adapter.
- hiyallJul 09, 2019AspirantI don't remember seeing beam forwarding but I'll look. I have the to link in my desktop and a different card that I don't know in my laptop. Both don't work good when something is downloading but works fine with the cable plugged in. I didn't have this problem with the last router I had.
Drivers are up to date and Ill try different channels- FURRYe38Jul 10, 2019Guru - Experienced User
Do you still have your old wifi router by chance?
- hiyallJul 11, 2019AspirantI tried different channels and I found one that my internet works normal on now. Too much interference around here was causing the problem. I just moved here and then bought the router to avoid rental fees
