NightHawk Cable Modem Router c7000v2 Downstream Channel Lock Amber Light

 I have recently noticed that an LED is amber--apparently indicating that there is one upstream channel locked. I have called Spectrum, my Internet vendor, and tech support rep told me that the signal is strong, both upstream and downstream.  I no longer have Netgear free tech support available. When I called Netgear, the rep referred me back to Spectrum. I need help in troubleshooting this. I have already turned the router off and on for about 1 minute.  Initially the LED is green, and then turns amber.

    What led is amber? there's quite a few. 

    Do you have a screensnip of the cable connections page and event logs? those help us to check the line

      Sorry, the upstream channel LED is lit, which means that there is an upstream channel which is locked, correct?  I am not sure what the significance of this is. Thanks for any help you can give.

        Start with removing any amplifiers, signal attenuators, or splitters from the coax.
        From there, check the line for kinks, damage, and moisture in the line.
        Check the connectors for improperly made ends, foil touching the copper coax line, loose connections, bad/old/cheap connectors, or corroded connections. Replace them if you do.
        If you can, simply connect the modem right where the coax comes into the home. This prevents wiring in the home from being the issue. And some ISPs charge if the wiring issue is in the home. So this helps prevent this.

         

        Your logs indicate line issues. tough to know about the cable connections page as you only included the upstream and missed the downstream.
