Should only need to disable SIP ALG if thats whats causing the problem and not DoS and port scan feature.

It is well hidden,and almost certainly a red herring, just a boilerplate response rather than a reasoned analysis of what is going on at our end. I posted it simply to let you know where it is. I have never come across an Android user who has suffered from that setting.
You said earlier:

That's not a reliable check.
What firmware version do you have on the device? A number is more useful than "the latest".
There may be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware with an app or in the browser interface.
Then look at the support pages for the device for the latest release listed there.

Firmware v2.1.5.2, which seems to be the latest on the downloads page on netgear.com. Only other downloads are the app for Android and IOS and older firmware.

Just a quick follow up: Turned back on DoS and Port scan protection, and as advised wifi calling still working. Left Sip ALG and IPSec ALG disabled.
