Nighthawk CAX80 Ethernet Ports Not Working
Recently bought a new TV. When I did I unhooked everything from my setup and was only running wi-fi for a few days after installation. Wi-fi works as it should but now none of the ethernet ports will ...

And you did power OFF the modem for 1 minute then back ON?
I'd get to NG support and see if there is an RMA option:

Whos the ISP that the CAX80 is connected too?
Try a 30-30-30 reset on the CAX80 with all ethernet connected devices disconnected from the LAN ports.

Wi-fi works as it should but now none of the ethernet ports will work. They do not even light up when a device is plugged in and powered on. Ibhave tried power cycling, hard reset up unit, and multiple cat6 cables. I am scratching my head here. Any idea what went wrong.
- AcelonaSep 16, 2023AspirantIt is oit of warranty and I use Xfinity (comcast). I've tried unhooking everything and letting it power cycle about 5 times bit it still is not working. I assume I have a much larger issue. Sucks since Ibreally love the hardware.
- AcelonaSep 16, 2023AspirantSeems lile it continues to power cycle for a while. Is there a better time to interrupt and plug in ethernet? When the wi-fi lights come on, when its just the power light, etc?

So are the LEDS coming ON for a while then turning back OFF then back ON? Does the Down link LED seem to be blinking for a while the all of a sudden all LEDS come ON then back OFF?
If so, this means the signal on the Coax cable line to the modem is bad or zero and this cuases the modem to enter into a boot loop until the signal is restored.
Got a friend or family member you can take the modem to and connect it up there and see if the modem stops this boot loop? You don't have to associate the modem to the ISP, just test to see if signal at a different location works. If it does, then the signal at your location needs to be looked at by the ISP.

https://highspeed.tips/docsis-events/Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Start with removing any amplifiers, signal attenuators, or splitters from the coax.
From there check the line for kinks, damage, moisture in the line.
Check the connectors for improperly made ends, foil touching the copper coax line, loose connections, bad/old/cheap connectors, or corroded connections. Replace them if you do.- AcelonaSep 16, 2023AspirantWorks perfectly for wi/fi just not the ethernet ports. All the lights come on other than the multi & the 1-4
