NightHawk CM1200 only getting 30 mbps hardwired.
I tested my old Motorola modem and getting 130 mbps but when I register netgear with xfinity I only get 30 mbps. All default configurations. What could be the issue? I am switching To netgear because ...

Do you have more than 1 device connected to the cm1200 or do you have a router using WAN aggregation?

I have google Nest Mesh setup but I plugged just my laptop direct to modem and only getting 30 mbps. No other devices hooked up. If I swap out with my old one I get the 130 direct from Ethernet port.

Only connect 1 device to the CM1200. Connect it to port 1. (google mesh doesn't support wan aggregation as far as I know).
Also, log into the router and click on the cable connections page. Get a screen snip of all the info and post it back here.
also do this for the modem logs. This helps us check the signal back to the ISP. A bad signal could cause issues.
You can also check with the isp to make sure they provisioned it right. I've had the wrong speed provisioning sent before or the wrong file (different device file)
