Nighthawk CM2050V cannot connect to Xfinity
I have a brand new CM2050V to replace an older Nighthawk X4 C7500 that died. The CM2050V says that is it correctly hooked up to my cable but xfinity says it can't activate the router. Are there known...

To activate a new modem, you will use the Xfinity mobile application installed on a smart phone.
Start the application and log in to your Xfinity account. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and there is a section called Got new equipment to set up? Select Activate now and then select Your Own Modem. Follow the instructions. You must be connected through your cell data and not Wi-Fi.
My CM2050V works fine with Xfinity.
