That max speed rate you will never see with the C7800 maybe around 400-500Mbps, however this also depends on your wireless device design and support. You may see less with wireless. 
You should see near 900Mbps with a wired LAN cable PC though.

I've already contacted Comcast support and went through all their troubleshooting steps. They are insistent that it is the modem that is causing the issue. I've also tried changing the router channel and no luck. 

I wouldn't be trying this hard if I was at least getting 600 - 800 mbps. But I'm not even close to that right now. Any advice or suggestions on troubleshooting this? Thanks!
