Nighthawk X4S C7800 - Printers

Win 10 64:mmHP 400 LaserJet printer (cable connected to router/modem, not USB) is responding to print job from desktop (not wireless), but not from wireless laptop. HP DeskJet 6940 (USB connection to router/modem) is not recognized by either desktop or laptop. What do I change? Thanks!

    Do you have the latest drivers for the printer? does the laptop have the proper printer drivers? Have you tried to reserve the IP address of the printer on the router?
