Nighthawk XS4 - Don't remember my gateway user and password
Hello, did a factory reset on my router hoping it would reset the gateway password, but, it did not. I tried admin/password combo but fail every time. I also forgot the first Net gear product I purch...
Yes, I did that, and I can now log in on the wifi but can't get into the gateway router settings. I can't remember my answer to the security question. I have the Nighthawk X4S AC3200 Wifi Cable Modem Router, Model No c7800.
If you didn't go through setup, the defaults are:
login: admin
password: password
Then it'll force you to change the password.
Don't go through setup on the app. Just use the browser
I have been trying through the browser, many times.
did you try at the 192.168.100.1 address?
Also, make sure during the reset to disconnect the coax from it. Then after it resets/reboots, try setup without the coax connected.Yes, I tried this, but, still running into the same issue
