NighthawkAX8AX6000 WiFI Cable Modem Router -- Can I turn off the WIFI 6 and connect a WIFI 7 instead
I want to upgrade to WIFI 7. I have a WIFI 7 and I wanted to know if I can turn off the WIFI 6 part of the NighthawkAX8AX6000 WiFI Cable Modem Router. If so how is that done? I have not found a true WIFI 7 Cable Modem Router.

Of course, I know there is the mesh system but spending $2300 isn't something I'm willing to do.
AX mode can only be disabled. However having WiFi7 devices will automatically connect to WiFi 6 if WiFi7 signals are not present. There is no cable modem with WiFi 7.
There isn't a cable modem/router from netgear yet. But Arris has the G54 that is wifi 7 and released.
But why the push for wifi 7? Not many devices support it yet and the AX6000 (CAX80) is a rock solid modem/router.
Its capable of saturating gigabit speeds without issues.
It'd be better to wait for wifi 7 devices prices to come down
Call it a Xmas gift from less then tech savoy but very loving wife.
