No Internet on 5G band

I am not getting internet on the 5G band of my cable modem router C6230. Spectrum told me that the band has to be activated by Netgear.  How accurate is that?

    5Ghz is always unless you or someone disabled it on the modem.

     

    Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed?
