Are you plugging multiple things into the cm1200?
I know it has multiple ports but unless you're running a business line or your isp allows multipe public ip addresses (most don't), your only given a single IP address and can only plug one device into the cm1200. you can use port 1 & 2 if your router supports link aggregation on the wan side. I'd try to avoid link aggregation at the current time as there's been several reported issues I've seen as well.
So key points.
1. Only plug a single device into the cm1200
2. Don't use link aggregation right now.
3. Power off modem and router. Boot in this order. Modme, give it a couple minutes. Hook up router. Boot it up. give it a couple minutes. then connect devices to it and see if itworks.
