No WiFi connection—model C7000

Spotty connection last night. We reset the router. We had some connection this morning, but lost it early on. We have reset the router twice more by unplugging it. I have checked all physical connections. I checked with our Internet provider to make sure there isn’t an outage. I disable Wi-Fi on my phone so that I could log on using cellular data. For some reason the phone thought we had Wi-Fi even though it wouldn’t connect. Using the cellular data, I have been able to come to this site. It indicated that I might need to update the router. However, I need Wi-Fi to update the router. What would be my next step?

Are you still getting a connection via Ethernet and just no wifi?

Thank you for checking up on me.  I guess I should have logged on and given an update.  :-)

Our problem ended up not being our router/modem at all.  It took a bit to figure that our as our internet provider originally blamed it.  There were no local outages, and not work being done in the area.  They finally came out on Sunday, and the technician discovered a bad splitter.  He replaced that, and we have been good ever since.  Yay!
