Old Modem Donation Question
I have an old NetgearCMD31T cable modem that I want to give away. I've been told to make sure the IP address is removed from the modem. How do I do that?
Thanks in advance for all feedback...

You don't. There is no IP address ON the modem until it's connected with an ISP service. So when it's turned off and disconnected, the IP address doesn't remain. The ISP maintains IP addressing for modems connected to there system. IP addresses on modems are temporary and not permanent.
