on my model c7000v2 connected to my LG tv via Ethernet, my speed is slower on Ethernet than it is on
Why is my ethernet speed slower than my wifi speed. I am running you tube tv on a lg tv with the ethernet connection, and i get buffering at times. Why is this happening?

If you have a pc connected to the C7000, what speeds do you get directly off the C7000?
What speeds do you pay for?
What tv model is it?
Hardwired usually is much better than wireless. Have you checked the cable running to the tv? What type of cable is it?
maybe take where its plugged into the tv and connect that to a laptop and test it. make sure its a good cable running to the tv.
Did you have the tv setup on wireless? And did you re-run the network setup? maybe it didn't change over from wifi to wired.
- gls0480Feb 14, 2020AspirantThe tv is an LG. Ethernet cables are the latest technology. Version 6
One more question: how do I update the drivers? That could be a problem- FURRYe38Feb 14, 2020Guru - Experienced User
Check the TVs Mfr site for FW updates for the TV.
Is the TV directly connected to the modem or is there a LAN switch in between by chance?

LG updates their software automatically and often.
Still would like to know how to update drivers inside the c7000v2. Everything else checks out
