only Apple products working with router - roku, amazon, PC, nest cannot connect

Hi all -

I apologize if this has been answered already...

Here's the problem - I have a wide range of internet-connected devices in my home. On Sunday, there was a power outage when I was away. Since then, only Apple devices connect to the wireless connection throught the netgear router. The Roku, PC, Amazon Alexa and Firebox, and Nest devices cannot connect via wireless or even wired connections to the router. I have reset devices several times, tried one device at a time, etc. I can stream Hulu and ESPN on Apple TV and the iphones/ipads connect to wireless and can search the internet (although some apps wouldn't function).

I tried to reset the modem through Comcast (online option - it wouldn't let me do it). I'm hoping it's just a setting on the router that got jacked up from the power outage? I can access the router settings, I just need guidance on what may need to be changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks :)

  • Update: now it seems nothing works. I can see the WiFi networks and select them but that’s about it. Could the router be fried? Is it xfinity/Comcast issue? This is driving me nuts.

Have you tried to do a factory reset of the unit?
