Orbi AX4200 (CBR750) Windows Media connection issues with Samsung TV when VPN turned on

I have a strange problem I have a Windows media streaming feature turned on for windows 10 and have a file library with a bunch of media content on it.  Whenever I turn VPN (express vpn) the connection to the media streaming on my Samsung Series 6 TV cuts out about every 15 minutes.  It doesn't stay disconnected, the connection seems to immediately return but it disrupts whatever you are watching.  If the VPN is off this problem does not happen at all.  The reason though why I suspect it is a problem with the router is this problem did not occur on this same TV, with the Same VPN when I was using my old belkin router.  However, I have another older samsung TV in another room that did have this same problem with the old belkin router.  So it is possible it is something caused by the vpn.  I have a temp solution of disabling VPN whenever I want to stream medai from my computer to my TV but I would like to solve this issue.  any ideas?
