Orbi CBR40

I just returned from a work trip and there were a few power outages while I was gone. My Internet connection and service has been fine. However, my CBR 40 will not allow wired LAN connections now. I have done a factory reset on the CBR 40 and I have tried several times to restart the modem via Orbi app as as well as through my Internet service provider, Xfinity. My Wi-Fi works just fine through the CBR 40, but I am still having problems with using the wired connections for my CBR 40. For example my PlayStation five when I attempted to reconnect via the wired connection the PlayStation pulls up an error saying that it cannot obtain an IP address within the time limit. The CBR is currently up-to-date with its firmware (v2.5.028). Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

Orbi with Built-in Cable Modem Systems - NETGEAR Communities

    Cable Modems & Routers

You might like to search there for messages related to your issue.

I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.

In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

    Check for various troubleshooting tips.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
