Password

I am trying to add other devices to my internet service and I can't remember the password.  I tried the factory reset on the router/modem, but it wouldn't reset.  I saw a place to login and click "I forgot my password", but I didn't have to enter an email address when I set it up, so there is nowhere to send an email to reset.  Not quite sure what to do.  Thanks for your help.

    Disconnect the modem from the coax cable line. 

    Press the reset button for 15 seconds, then release. 

    Use a wired PC and web browser to see if you can access the setup wizard at 192.168.0.1...
