Wifi and gaming don't go well together. Wired best.
But this doesnlt make sense:

My PS5 is wired via ethernet and gets around 654 Mbps connection speed (download) and 22.0 Mbps connection speed (upload). My ISP is Spectrum. I get about 109 Mbps download speed and 17.34 Mbps upload speed when connected to 5G WiFi.
If the PS5 is wired via ethernet where do Wifi Issues come in?
Then this:
Things I have tried thus far:
- hardwired PS5 to Ethernet
- assigned static IP address to PS5 and opened port forwarding
- moved more devices off 2.4G onto 5G to reduce potential interference from other devices
- Changed the WiFi channel for 2.4G from 4 to 1
None of these options seem to have a significant impact.
Wired to Ethernet doesn't help?
That should beat WiFi hands down.
On WiFi, 2.5 GHz is slower then 5 GHz but has a shorter range.

If you're doing any gaming/streaming, you shouldn't be on 2.4ghz. Its a slow network and sensitive to interference. If its getting better coverage than 5ghz, it means something is blocking/interfering with the 5ghz signal or its just to far away.
Does the issue happen if you move the ps5 closer (for testing)? Stick it in the same room/right next to the room and test it.

That's a good idea on testing the Portal in the same room as the PS5 on 5G. I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the advice.
