Yes, I am following instructions from a posting on the internet. I've read several articles on the subject and they all state that port forwarding is part of the process. As I stated my networking skills are limited and I don't quite understand the information concerning port forwarding.

Similarly, I can't see this "information", or guess what about it is
mystifying. This new Inter-Web thing has some potential to provide
information on many topics. For example:

Less diffuse questions could get more specific answers, but "VPN
Server" is a bit too vague to make a specific answer practical.
