Port Forwarding Issue on CAX80
I was looking for some advice on being able to port forward on a CAX80 Nighthawk (I believe I selected the correct model). Every time I attempt to put in a custom port I get an error message that say...

I experienced the same problem, and the solution I found was to make sure the DHCP range included the IP address that I was trying to forward to. In my case, the IP address that I wanted to forward to is static, so naturally it resides outside the DHCP range. This ends up giving the error you describe, so I made my DHCP range larger to include all my static IP addresses as well.
It seems the router only will allow port forwarding to IP addresses that fall within the DHCP range. This functionality is completely ridiculous and is broken by design. Even more offensive is that this is one of the most expensive routers on the market and the bug has been present for months now. I've never missed DD-WRT so much, and I'm seriously considering returning this device.
