Unfortunately, this is a consequence of flaky power. No brand will be immune to that sort of thing. The good news is that your device survived the blip. Many don't.
As well as setting up the device as Kitsap has suggested, which will restore everything to the previous state, there is an even easier way of going about things than changing any settings on the modem/router itself.
.
Then, after the thing resets itself you just go through the "restore" process and end up where you were before the power went off.
It is a pity that so many people seem to miss this essential recovery measure.

Power went off for five minutes overnight, and this has happened again. At first some mobile devices could connect to the WiFi and had sporadic internet connection. Now no mobile devices or IoT devices can connect to the router, and even the hardwired Arlo/NetGear camera router that is hardwired to the NetGear router isn’t connecting to the internet. I’ll look into backing up my configuration, but I’ll be looking for a different brand router.

But that is kind of difficult when you have a combined modem/router.

As to another device, experienced users prefer separate modems and routers. CAX devices are better than some with their separate router firmware, but it still doesn't have the flexibility of a modem followed by a router, which gives a much bigger choice of options.
