Ps5 cax80 lan issue
I keep my ps5 hard wired to router, never had any issues. Suddenly psn has errors connecting though I have full internet connection. Resetting router works temporarily. I have realized simply removing...

Hi, did you mean that you already tried disabling firewall protection/DDOS and the issue is still there?
Two more questions to clarify-
1. Does the issue happen since device was upgraded to v5.1.1.8? or it exists in previous version? v2.x?
2. Only PS5 has this issue or other LAN devices exhibit this issue as well?

Sorry I meant I will go ahead and try. I did go ahead disable both those just now.
Firmware 5118 was working fine without issues for a long time(over year). Not sure if i ever even ran the older firmware tbh.
I have another console on lan, nintendo switch. It seems to be working fine. When I plug in my laptop via ethernet that works fine as well.
I did have an older ps on which this issue arose after a year of no issues, but I got another ps since then and this problem persisted from day one on that unit. I have tried
I'll report back with an update, it takes some time for issue to arise sometimes (anywhere from 5 mins- few hours)

- cuziamindianNov 28, 2024AspirantDisabling those 2 options did not fix the issue. I read somewhere that Playstation network and store etc, thumbnails (all the things that aren't loading even when connected to internet) load via ipv4. I really don't know what that means nor how I'd trouble shoot that, if that's even the case
- cuziamindianNov 28, 2024AspirantI did come across a reddit post where many people are having the same issues as me, according to the post, OP had 2 solutions:
1. Disable ipv6, which i don't think i can do with my isp nor cax80
2. OP used a second router to connect to just ps5. In that router he can disable ipv6, guess that's his work around.
Nobody else had any real solution aside from just resetting or resetting cable over n over a the issue keeps popping up ...

Sounds like this maybe a Sony issue rather than CAX80 issue.
Only other way to help narrow that down would be to put a ISP owned gateway online and check it with the PS online and see if same thing happens.
v5 FW has only been out for about two months.
Was this issue happening before you put v% FW on the CAX80 or did it start afterwards?
- cuziamindianNov 30, 2024AspirantTbh I don't recall manually updating the firmware, but the 2 month timelines is about correct for now long this had been going on now. Perhaps I'll try the previous fw and see if that helps. Sincerely appreciate all the help 🙏🏾 ,ty
