question about downstream on CM1200 modem
I have a new CM1200 Nighthawk Multi-Gig Speed Modem and a X500 Nighthawk Gaming Router both have been working fine, but lately the second light on the CM1200 constantly blinks. We still have inter...

You can pick them up off amazon for pretty reasonable. I'd snag at least a 6dbmv one. I recently bought a 3,6, 9 just to play with my signal levels on my modem at home for pretty cheap

I will log into the modem and retrieve the logs. I have read some posts having the same problem, So i know what to look for. I have also rebooted the modem and 2 days later no blinking light but still seem to get the same type of logs. I will post back and go from there.

Your power levels are to high and you have errors in the line.
Your downstream power should be -7.5 to 7.5dbmv. You're above 11. So out of spec.
Plus you have errors.
You can try adding an attenuator to your line or if you're using an amplifier, remove it.

I just had replaced the cable from their connection to modem, not amplifiers, router is all good, then this CM1200 modem. Haven't contacted Spectrum yet really didn't want to hear their flak about it being my equipment, Guess I have no choice. Will adding an attenuater really help?
