CAX80 won't work at all on WOW Internet; firmware update ruined it
Here's the deal. I just got in the mail today a replacement from Netgear for my CAX80. (Hindsight says I may not have needed it, but here we are.) I am with WOW Internet as my ISP in Columbus, O...

I see posts that the CAX30 seems to work with no issues. Does anyone know if the CAX30S will also work? And what are the differences between the 30 and 30S.
Not knowing when the issues with the 80 will be rectified, I don’t want to lose my return window and not have something I can actually use.

The CAX30S does work, I’ve been using it for the past 3 months. It’s same as CAX30 but includes 90 days of NETGEAR Armor for free. Regardless WOW has ignored this issue, I’m switching over to Xfinity soon.
- Baint50Mar 18, 2022AspirantSo, I returned my CAX80 and purchased a CAX30S. Having the exact same problem. WOW says there is a good signal but getting nothing to the router. Talked to a next level tech support who wasn’t much help but said he would research the issue. And he didn’t argue with me when commented that their firmware push is what screws it up. I agreed to a home tech visit only after I was guaranteed that I wouldn’t have to pay for it. Not expecting much.
- Moocow1980Mar 18, 2022ApprenticeMy CAX30S has worked absolutely fine for months now, since I cut my losses on the CAX80 and sold it. Not an issue at all, has worked like a charm, knock on wood.
Have you tried to hook up any modem to your Internet just to ensure it is truly not your connection, before assuming the CAX30S was also borked by the ISP? - Baint50Mar 18, 2022AspirantYes I have reconnected my Arris modem each time after trouble with the Netgear 80 and now 30. Reconnects with internet within a few minutes with no problem.

Let us know how it goes after the tech arrives. Would be interested to know what they say about the CAX30.
NG is aware of the issues with WoW and the CAX80. Others reported the CAX30 seemed to work with WoW. Hoping this isn't now effecting the CAX30.

The only thing done differently was he activated the modem using his credentials and WOW access. Instead of blindly over the phone. Not sure how that made a difference but it worked.

OK thanks for letting us know. Glad the CAX30 is working.
NG and WoW should be working to get the CAX80 going as well. Users need to contact NG if they still have there CAX80s on WoW.
