I just read this discussion. Am I to understand this product is un-upgradeable? I just got off the phone with Netgear who told me ISP had to update it. Then I called Spectrum who said they can't up...
That is correct, C and CM series cable modems are not FW updatable by users. ONLY the ISPs can update them.
Some ISPs won't update user owned modems. Up to the ISP to update users owned modems. Some will, some won't.
The DOCSIS and ISP sets this policy.
