Re: Switched from CM3000 to CAX80 and it destroyed upload/download speeds
Hi all. I too am having issues getting the downstream fully bonded, however I am on Cox. The demarcation line from teh street comes directly into my smart box. The dmark line has a MOCA filter th...

Well the CM is more capable modem than the CAX80 though the CAX has a built in router and wifi.
Was the CM modem working before you changed to the CAX80?
The CAX80 may not have same speed support as the ISP level as the CM3000 may have. Something to check with them about.
What speeds UP and Down do you pay for?
Power levels are a bit all over the place. Should be close to each other across all channels.

You have lots of correctables and uncorrectables on channels 28, 29 and 30 and should look like zeros with the other channels.
Any Criticals, Errors or Warnings seen in the event logs needs to be reviewed and resolved by the ISP. Indicates a signal issue on the ISP line up to the modem.
Lots of correctables and un-correctables that should be mostly zeros.
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Start with removing any amplifiers, signal attenuators, or splitters from the coax.
From there check the line for kinks, damage, moisture in the line.
Check the connectors for improperly made ends, foil touching the copper coax line, loose connections, bad/old/cheap connectors, or corroded connections. Replace them if you do.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute then back ON.

How to resolve the correctables and uncorrectables in the three specified channels? I have tried removing the MOCA filter and using the dmark line direct into the modem. This yielded 30mbps download speeds. Put it back to the way I have it as described now, and I get about 700mbps dl. I pay for 940mbps. The only thing I havent tried is using the -7db output from the splitter and/or replacing the 9 year old splitter.

Something to to try.
Have the ISP take a look as well.

Yeah, I have been unable to get them to come out bc they are adamant that its a Netgear HW issue. I guess the squeaky wheel gets the grease...smh

Yep.
Was the CM modem doing same thing when you had it online? CM3000 is a solid modem.
