redycloud almost unaccessible after migratione

Message - "One or more network protocols are missing on this computer - Windows socket registry entries required for network connectivity are missing." Got this message after installing required update from NetGear, demanding we move from ReadyCLOUD to My NETGEAR.com. After install, cannot connect to server. We have been down all day due to NetGear demanding we install an update that is defective. Lost alot of staff time. Any suggestions how we can fix NetGear's screwed up update and get to our server?
