Recently my router got firmaware update and now when I try to login it first tries to connect to accounts.netgear.com and then redirects from there back to my local router address. Not talking about ...

For a C6220, as listed in your "footer", that firmware update will have come from your ISP. Neither you nor Netgear has any control over firmware updates.
You should let the ISP know that it has released what might be dodgy firmware.
Have you tried a factory reset on your C6220?
If you really want to take this further, might you do better to post your message in the appropriate section. You have posted your message in the section of this community given over to General WiFi Routers (Non-Nighthawk). (This is easily done, given Netgear's complicated community structure.)
Many questions apply to different types of device, so there may be useful responses here, but you might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

Yes, I tried. It changes nothing

I didn't know that. Thank you for this information. I just noticed, that a few months ago the modem interface changed, it forced me to change login credentials and now it always tries to call an URL like that:
https://accounts.netgear.com/serial?redirectUrl=http://192.168.0.1/sso.cgi&serial_num=xxxxxxxxxxx
My current firmware version is V1.02.11. I wonder why my ISP would force my router to connect to Netgear, every time I login.
Anyway I'm planning to try another ISP soon, so we'll see if anything changes

I didn't know that.
Gory details here:
If your firmware is outdated, you cannot manually upgrade your cable modem’s or modem router’s firmware. You must contact your Internet service provider (ISP) to upgrade your firmware.

The cable modem and router firmware is coming from Netgear, just specific tesing and so on is required to be done by the ISP. That's why these ISP specific firmware are not available for direct download.
No, it's not the ISP - looks like Netgear does try to do (enforce the hard way) some analytics in a non-acceptable way. YeZ
