Replace Qwest Q1000 modem with NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 (24x8) DOCSIS 3.0 WiFi Cable Modem Router?
Will the Nighthawk AC1900 (24x8) DOCSIS 3.0 WIFI Cable Modem Router replace my Qwest Q1000 modem without any problems?

I'm not very tech minded when it comes to these things, but I thought I need to upgrade my modem/router because of all the equipment we now have in the house that needs wifi. Door bell, games, computer, ipad, etc.

Is there some actual problem which you are trying to solve?
A device like a door-bell may use very few resources when it's idle.
Depending on the level of your DSL service, there's no particular reason
to believe that the Q1000 is your bottleneck.
Even if the Q1000 were a problem, it's a DSL modem+router, not a
"Cable" modem+router, so a C7000 (or anything else with "DOCSIS" in its
description) would not be a drop-in replacement, if you expect to keep
your DSL service.
And that's why it pays to explain the actual problem which you are
trying to solve, instead of asking how to implement some particular
"solution" which may or may not make much sense.
