Replace Xfinity Modem
Hello all.....I currently use the modem that Comcast has provided. I want to purchase my own modem. I disabled the router portion of the Xfinity modem and purchased a net gear router. My question is.....if I get a net gear modem to replace Xfinity will I need to start over with my current net gear router or will I be able to keep all the settings?

Should be able to keep all the settings. I've done it numerous times. Rarely do I need to fully factory reset the router with it.
