What was the "an older model netgear router"? What is the "upgraded"
model?

Without a model number, neither do I, but it would be pretty normal.
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Look for "channel".

Is that your "older" one, your "upgraded" one, or neither? As "EOL"
might suggest, that's not a recent model.

I'm sorry I mistyped. I have a new MODEM from Spectrum. My router is older. I'm wondering if I need a dual ban router?
Thanks,

Think for a moment. If you couldn't see any more than that
non-description, then how much would you know about that gizmo?

With my weak psychic powers, I still know approximately nothing about
what you have, let alone what you might need. Do any of these gizmos
have makers and model numbers? Care to share?- mscluppyDec 11, 2018Aspirant
I am so sorry. The netgear router I have is a RangeMax Wireless Router WPN824 v2.
The modem is DOCSIS 3.1 Voice Modem (which I got from Charter/Spectrum - our internet provider).
I apologize for not giving you more info initially.
Thank you,
