Router Login - What Browsers Work?

I've been using Internet Explorer to login to my modem to white list guests at my home.  Firefox doesn't work, other lesser-known browsers don't work either (e.g. privacy enhanced browsers built on Chromium).  Now Internet Explorer is going away - I get MS threats every time I load it.  IE's replacement MS Edge won't work with Netgear's Genie either.  If I try to download a new version of Netgear's Genie, it ALWAYS errors with "This site can't be reached."  Am I being forced to use Google Chrome?  Does it even work?  Is there another way around this problem?

    Try FireFox or Opera? 

    You can always use IE11, just keep for the router web page access though it might post notifications. It's ok to use.
