Router takes more than 30min to connefct to internet after each reboot

Hi,

I have a Netgear Nighthawk AC2400 router purchased 3years ago. It was working fine until last month. I started seeing connection drops and i tried to reboot the router on suggestion of ISP service agent. It took 30min to connect to internet after reboot. The power indicator on router remained Orange until 30min. I tried to reset the router and its the same behavior after reset too. It takes more than 30min to connect to internet.  My ISP couldn't help diagnose the connection drops as am using my own router and the router doesn't get connected to internet while am in call with ISP agent.

I tried with another netgear router that i purchased before Nighthawk. It works fine. It reboots and connects to internet quickly without any issue. Is my nighthawk router damaged?

    So you have the XR500 router to confirm what router your referring too? 

    What Firmware version is currently loaded?
    What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
    Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
