Second Network, adding AX1800 to RAX200 via network switch GS308PP

Can anyone help me detremine how to setup a second network(AX1800) to my exisiting network(RAX200) using a network switch(GS308PP)?  I have a nokia fiber modem provided by COX that feeds into my RAX200, currently.  My modem does not have a second feed to connect my AX1800.

 

Initially, when I fed the modem line into the switch and connected both router and mesh, all heck broke loose and the switch alternated activitiy between the two routers.  My brother suggested feeding the modem into my RAX200 then connect the mesh(AX1800) to RAX200 but the netgear app doesnt recognixe the AX1800.

 

Essentially, I have 32 devices on my current network and need to alleviate it.

 

Im clueless at this point and need yall to educate me on what to do.  Thanks in advance!

         Why?  Is there some actual problem which you are trying to solve?

         Why?  What's to "alleviate"?

         "AX1800" is a speed, not a model number.  Look for "Model" on the
      product label.

         Because that was a bad idea.  Typical residential service (like
      yours, I assume), would allow you to connect one device directly to your
      (unspecified) "a nokia fiber modem".  That could be a computer, or a NAT
      router (like your RAX200).  Adding a network switch would not change
      that.

         That might be an improvement, but you'd probably want to configure
      your "the mesh(AX1800)" as a wireless access point.  The User Manual for
      that device (whatever it is) should explain how to do that.

       

         Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
      and look for Documentation.  Get the User Manual (at least).  Read.
      Look for "access point".

         I use a web browser instead of any Netgear-supplied app.  That's also
      covered in the relevant User Manual(s).

       

         Configuring a router as a WAP will give it a new LAN IP address.  By
      default ("Get dynamically from existing router"), it'll get that new
      address from (the DHCP server in) your main router (RAX200).  Hence, an
      "Attached Devices" report from your main router should tell you what
      the new address of your router-as-WAP is. Point your web browser at
      that IP address to talk to the router-as-WAP.  (That might become clearer as you
      do the mode change on the router-as-WAP-to-be.)

         Sounds to me like a mistake.  The switch (whatever it is) is not the
      source of your problem(s).  (What you tried to do with it was.)
