Setup fails no matter how I connect

I gave the AC1750 direct access to my cable modem, only after failing connection to an ethernet hub. The INSALL APP on my phone failed to even see it.

Your router may be in bridge mode, BRIDE MODE - Yout router may be in bridge mode. Bridge mode is not supported - fresh out of  the box NEVER USED!?

"Turn bridge mode off and try using the app again"

HOW CAN I TURN OFF A FEATURE when I have NO ACCESS to the Admin ui?

tO BE CLEAR i WANTED TO USE THAT FEATURE.. BUT THAT'S BESIDE THE POUNT NOW - THIS KIT JUST DOESN'T WORK, CAN'T EVEN SET IT UP TO FAIL.

  •  Can't edit... so one thing I'll remember, NETGEAR is unreliable even across short periods of time.

    Which router is this?

AC1750 is not a reliable guide to model number. Many devices come with an AC tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and other brands, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.

Look at the label on the device for the model number.

What is this cable modem? Make and model?

What do you mean by "direct access"?

You seem to be flailing about.

Maybe this is simple enough for you:

How do I log in to my NETGEAR wireless router? | Answer | NETGEAR Support

Or read the manual for your device:

    Visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

Look for the model number on the label on the device.

  • Ahh... I feel like a schmuck -thanks for trying to help.

While it's true, just following the iPhone app was an epic fail, simply looking for the SSID and punching in the default passphrase (on sticker under the router) connected, and then everything was fine. I still have no idea what kind of wireless wizardry was SUPPOSED to go on, or maybe lubricated by too much wine I just blew past an instruction?

Sorry for the bother... it's working fine now.
