The WAN Ports on the CM modem are for ISP assigned WAN IP addresses. Most ISP don't support more than one WAN IP service address to a home. The CM modem does not have a router built in. Modem only.
To connect a new router or firewall appliance device to the CM modem, reboot the modem from the modems web page, when the front LEDs turn OFF, disconnect the old router and reconnect the new device to WAN port #1. The modem will come to ready and the new device should get internet services.
