Slow down when connecting router to CM700 modem

so you're getting full speed when directly connected to the modem?
Seems to indicate the modems doing its job.
I'd be looking closely at the cable from the modem to the router/routers.

I did try a few different LAN cables. I was thinking the same thing, but it still doesn't explain why my laptop gets full speed since I used the same cable to connect my laptop as I use for the routers. I did order a new CAT8 cable today to see if that would make a difference.
I wasn't sure if there were settings in the CM700 that would slow the speed when connected to a router versus connected directly to a computer.

there's not. But some devices might be a little more tolerant of a bad cable or a cat5 cable vs cat5e or > .
