Slow down when connecting router to CM700 modem

I did try a few different LAN cables. I was thinking the same thing, but it still doesn't explain why my laptop gets full speed since I used the same cable to connect my laptop as I use for the routers. I did order a new CAT8 cable today to see if that would make a difference.
I wasn't sure if there were settings in the CM700 that would slow the speed when connected to a router versus connected directly to a computer.

- Still doesn’t explain why I lose the speed when connected to a router. I thought it might be the router but I’ve tried two different routers with the same results.
