Slow speed with nighthawk cm1100 and N300

I am connecting nighhawk cm1100 cable modem with N300 router. I am getting speed of 65Mbps whereas with Xfi Gateway it was 220 Mbps. I understand N300 is old device . However, N300 supports upto 200M...

Your old N300 doesn't have the capabilities that it was tuned for for higher speeds of todays ISP services. Find you something new. 

I get to spec speeds with NGs R7800, R7960P, XR450, Orbi RBK50 and 850 series router systems connected to my CM1100. These are well capable of near 900Mbps on the wire. 400-500Mpbs wirelessly dependping upon wifi client HW support.
