Slow WIFI Speeds - Cox Gigablast
Hello, I have C7800 / Cox ISP / Gigablast plan (rated for 940 MBPS). I routinely get no more than 70 - 80 MBPS on the 2.4 channel and no more than 100 - 110 MBPS on the 5G. Cox has stated tha...

Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 26 thru 48 or 149 thru 161 channel on 5Ghz.
I got the sweetspots app for iPhone. I've tested on both 2.4 and 5 channels. Attached are the speeds. What's weird with the 5G test was that tests done within just a few seconds of each other via the sweetspot and Google speed test tool came up with drastically different results.
I also manually changed the channels suggested above via routerlogin.net and tested both 2.4 and 5G in different configurations. No noticeable difference to speed.

Any other guidance on this issue?
- jesmith602Oct 25, 2020ApprenticeWhat’s your max speed on a wired connection? I max out at 300 on wireless with Gigablast & a CAX80.
You may not have all these settings on your model, but you might want to at least experiment with different channels:
For 2.4ghz wireless network, change the channel from auto to 11.
For 5ghz wireless network, change the channel from auto to 124 or 128.
Disable AX band

I know I'm never, ever gonna see "gigabit" speeds but I can't even break a hundred DL wired. I'd be happy with consistently getting 300 - 400.
I've messed with the settings but I'll try those again.
Is this combo modem/router model just a turd? Very frustrating to have paid top dollar for what both Netgear and ISP say should work great with this plan and have to spend weeks and months trying to get it to work right...

What is the connection rate between your wired PCs LAN adapter and the modems LAN port?
