2.4 Mbps is horribly slow, but you don't say what you are using.
The speed you get over a wifi connection depends on the wifi clients.
Can you test what you get with a wired connection to the router? This will also be faster than wifi.

With a wired connection, I receive 351 mbps through my Model: C7000|Nighthawk - AC1900 WiFi Cable Modem Router. When I try to connect to my desktop wirelessly, I can only get 2.4 mbps. I also have a Roku connected to a bedroom tv, and the picture is terribly pixelated. I assume this is because the router can't stream fast enough.

Have you tried changing the wifi channel? If you are in a noisy wireless environment, you may see interference from neighbours.
A wired connection to the bedroom TV, perhaps with powerline plugs, may be better than wifi.
Is the Roku wired to the router? If not, that too might be better wired.
