Perhaps that's because the CM1000 is a modem, not a
modem+wireless-router, and, as such, it has no wireless-network
capability.
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the Product Data Sheet or the User Manual.
Read.
Then, start looking for a wireless router to use with your CM1000, or
a combined modem+router to replace it.
General advice: Don't begin a conversation with "so". It requires an
antecedent.

I don't know. Are you trying to connect them at the same time? How?
Even if you connect only one device to the modem, you may need to
restart the modem (and then the device) when you change the device which
is connected to the modem.
Connecting a router to the modem would make it easier to use multiple
devices. The modem would see only the router, not a bunch of different
devices. A router can deal better with multiple client devices.so when i connect my laptop(no othe device is connected at this time) to the modem majic happens but when i connect the ps4(no other divce is connected at this time as well) to the mode there is no majic
