Top ether net port has never worked.

Question

The top ether net port has neve worked for internet connection to my laptop. The bottom port works.

Is the top port a special port to connect to something I have no idea what? Or, it the unit defective from the get go?

The top port isn't anything special. Its just 2 ethernet connections.
if one doesn't work, it could be defective, the pins could be bent, or some other issue.

Is it still within warranty?

Or you could just buy a cheap unmanaged switch to connect to the bottom port to expand your port options.

Thanks. That's what I thought. Out of warranty and never needed two port until now. Was hoping I could link in a swtich or string them like USB.&nbsp;
