How about 192.168.0.1? This work?
Be sure to clear ALL browser caches and exit then relaunch the browser.

Thanks for the reply.
Tried clearing cache, rebooting. Tried my laptop (hard wired) (linux). Same results.

http://192.168.1.1
will bring up the login screen.
will not connect

And if you factory reset the modem with a wired PC connected to the modem and walk thru the setup wizard?

Generally if routerlogin.com/net don't work, you will want to factory reset your router. You will find a small RESET button at back of your router press it for few seconds until the lights start blinking. It will reset the router to its default settings so any manual configurations will be reverted. Then try using the 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 IP Addresses as suggested by Raymond818. It should be fine, let me know if it fixes your issue.
