troubleshooting
recently my computer has been shutting down while I am on line. It beeps like when there is a power surge or glitch and the computer will shut down. I have an UPS and also nothing else like TV ( which is on at the same time) is affected. when I go to restart the computer (desktop) it gives me the "computer didnt shut down properly" window. I am running windows 7. Is my modum router going bad? how can I test it or tell if it is going bad?

This sounds like a issue with your PC on the modem I would have your pc repair person check out the issue.
