Two cable modem routers one one line

I have a new C3700. It works great in my office but not so good in my wife’s office across the house. Can I get another C3700 and put it in my wife’s office. We have one Comcast account and one cable...

No, it won't work. You'd have to have a 2nd account from comcast. 

You'd be better to try a powerline device, moca adapter (ethernet over coax), a wireless extender, or even a wireless mesh system for better coverage.

       Or a plain-old Ethernet cable, without all the costly accessories, if
    that's practical.
